Modern Herbal Arts Studio© is an online learning space where plants, creativity, and conscious living come together.

 

Here, students explore the science, spirit,

and story of herbalism through hands‑on practice and intentional study.

 

Plants become both teachers and materials, guiding you to understand their chemistry, energetics, and the ways they support the body and spirit.

This studio is a place to learn how plants communicate

through scent, texture, color, and form. It is also a place to create.

​

Students work directly with herbs from the garden,

transforming them into meaningful projects that blend art and apothecary work.

 

Every lesson encourages curiosity, presence,

and a deeper relationship with the natural world.

​

You will learn how to craft tinctures, salves, decoctions, infused oils, begin a kitchen apothecary, prepare tea blends, and other herbal preparations, while also exploring creative DIY projects that turn plants into art.

 

These projects may include botanical journals, pressed plant collections, herbal inks, handmade paper, and other pieces that allow you to express your connection to nature in a tangible way. We also explore nature-based teachings, that may include spiritually based conversations, such as lineage, ancestry, Deities associated with the plants, and magical properties that help you connect further to being an herbalist.

 

Modern Herbal Arts Studio© also teaches ethical herbalism. Students learn about conservation, plant protection, and the importance of sustainable harvesting.

United Plant Savers and Ethical Herbalism

​

A core part of this work is understanding how to protect the plants we rely on. I am a partner in education with United Plant Savers, which is an organization dedicated to the conservation of medicinal plants and their habitats.

 

Their mission is essential for students, herbalists,

and anyone who works with plant medicine.

 

In this mentorship, you will learn:

• how to identify at‑risk and endangered medicinal plants

• how to harvest ethically and responsibly

• how to support native plant restoration

• how conservation shapes the future of herbalism

I offer resources to help you deepen this work, including a membership to

United Plant Savers for continued education and conservation awareness.

​

You will also receive access to Mountain Rose Herbs as a trusted resource for high quality, sustainably sourced materials. Learning where your herbs come from is just as important as learning how to use them.

Mentorship Training Overview

​

This mentorship includes a brief but meaningful training in foundational herbal practices.

You will learn how to create your own apothecary items and understand the science behind each method.

​

Training includes:

• DIY herbal projects

• tincture making

• salves and balms

• decoctions and infusions

• tea blends and flavor profiles

• plant energetics and herbal actions

• safety, dosage, and contraindications

• simple home apothecary setup​​

Each lesson is taught with intention and clarity, blending practical skill with conscious awareness. You will learn how to work with plants in a way that feels connected, respectful, and aligned with your own values.

Every module is recorded for you to download and keep.

Tuition:

$1,600 per student (includes $400 worth of study materials)

Individual mentorship/study: $2,250 (includes more focused study time 1-1 and $400 worth of study materials)

Length of Course:

​The online course runs for six months with two months of home study

We meet twice a month for four months, for a total of 24 hours

The entire course, with home study equals approximately 65 hours

​

The 1-1 mentorship runs for 5 months with a total of 50 hours coursework and home study with 1 month of focused home study, equaling approximately 65 hours

​

A certificate is given to all who complete a minimum of 65 hours
