WHY A SERIES BASED STUDIO?

We decided to become a Series based Yoga and Meditation studio in 2018.

After years of developing our own practices (and always working on), we realized that something was missing from our center and that something was BIG!

There was not enough consistency with classes and ways for us to engage our community and students in staying committed to their practices!

In honor of our own busy lifestyles as teachers, parents, entrepreneurs and activists, we had to get creative. It didn’t take us long to realize that SERIES CLASSES was the answer!

We realize that everyone has a busy life; however, one of the most important teachings that we cultivate here at Modern Spirit Wellness is SELF-CARE and SAT NAM (True Identity).

Without either of those committed to each other, our busy lifestyles may become too much to handle and we may experience burn-out, stress, anxiety and internal confusion.

BUILDING THE FOUNDATION

We’ve watched students come and go and not have an opportunity to develop a rapport with their teachers. Teachers are your greatest guides on your journey.

It’s always recommended to get to personally know the style of your Teachers and work with them in helping you. They are here to guide you and learn about your style and approach too!

Of course, that takes time.

In addition, students have set goals and not achieved those goals due to a lack of frequency on

their mats or in meditation. There are many reasons for this. Some feel that they are unable to quiet their minds or that their bodies won’t bend or twist a certain way.

Others feel that they are blocked or energetically out of tune, so their practices suffer.

All of this is a normal progression into discovering who YOU ARE.

Busy minds in meditation is not only normal, it is expected.

Pre- existing injuries and tight muscles are common.

We have the right tools to assist you in learning how to approach your Spiritual and fitness practices and how to stay committed and aware.

OUR STUDIO IS FOCUSED ON YOU AND YOUR EDUCATION

We believe that students need additional care and direction when practicing Spiritual Arts, such as Yoga, Breathwork, Meditation, Mindfulness

and additional Bodywork practices.

We’ve taken great care in developing our classes and offer a smaller space to allow for individual attention and direction. We understand that visiting a studio that offers drop-in classes may be convenient, however, the practices may be shorter in duration or not revisited.

This creates a lack of flow and balance and reduces overall strength.

It is our belief that in order to see results a regular practice is necessary.

This holds especially true for beginners because they are learning a new exercise for their bodies and a way to maintain a healthier lifestyle.

REGULAR PRACTICE

It is recommended that one should practice at least three times a week. A regular practice provides the structure and assistance required to properly learn the correct sequence and alignment. Consistency is necessary.

One’s desire to learn is more important than anything else. If one truly wishes to be healthier and achieve fitness or spiritual goals, devoting as much time and energy as possible to one’s yoga practice is essential.

Overall, when yoga is practiced more often, an advanced yogic practice is sure to follow. Completing a yoga class three times a week has more benefits than unscheduled programs.

Our classes are built in either 4, 6 or 8 week series.

They change regularly and offer short breaks in between.

You may sample classes and “jump” into another series if you miss one of your classes as a makeup.
